My Poor Baby!! :(

ohtwell

Yesterday, my car was hit, while in the parking lot of a local mall!! In the dim lights of the parking deck it didn't look too bad, but in the sunlight it makes me very sad!! 🙁

So Beautiful!!

Edit:

She was driving a 99 or maybe 2000 Mustang.

I came up to the car from the front so I didn't notice anything. As I was putting my loot in the car the policeman informed me that she had hit the car while parking.

She was torn up so I felt really bad for her and she just kept apologizing! 🙁

Update:

Went to have lunch with my husband yesterday and the car wouldn't start. I'm pretty sure it is the battery, but it is just ticking me off that a day after it getting nailed the thing won't start. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! :|

The poor thing tries to start, but just doesn't seem to have the juice to do it. We tried jump starting it, but that didn't work. I think the battery might have low fluid in the cells. It's not a maintanence free one and I've not added anything since I got it last year.

Obligatory "that'll buff right out" post!

Anyway... that sucks! But in your first picture, that building looks EXACTLY like the place I lived at when i was in Orlando. You don't live in Orlando do ya? That'd be too weird.

Nope! I do not live in Orlando! I actually considered just covering it with duct tape as that fixes anything.

That sucks Amanda. At least it doesn't look like it should be that hard to get fixed. And that's a good thing! 🙂
Very true! I'm just impressed that she told someone. There are people out there that hit cars and just drive away. Especially in a parking lot!

I would be livid if that happened to my 07 Camry. Impressed your handling it so well.
I'm too busy feeling sorry for her and her situation to really think about it. When I look at the car I think, "Man she's going to have to pay a lot to get that fixed", as she has a $1,000 deductible.

It could have easily been me that did it.

I keep being amazed at how many accidents happen with stationary vehicles.

I told my wifes cousin (who has no passenger side mirror) to watch the distance with our car as she was a little close while backing out. I made a point to close the sliding door which stuck out an additional 5 inches. She managed to grind across the same place as the OPs car the minute I had turned my back. That was something like miniwreck number 7 for her. 😕

Good news is that while its going to be an expensive fix for her insurance, when its finished you shouldn't be able to tell anything happened.

The first dent in a new car is always the hardest to take regardless though!
