My Plexwriter won't burn at 16x anymore.. What gives???

Goddamnit, for some reason my Plexwriter 16x won't burn at 16x anymore... i only use nero and discjuggler and both give me the error "no seek complete" when i try to burn at 16x... and yes, the media i use is 16x compatable, they worked at 16x just a few days ago... when i set to burn at 12x, it works fine... anyone have any ideas? I have the latest ASPI layer installed, my firmware is upgraded (1.02) under the driver properties it says "no driver files are required or have been loaded up for this device" could this be a problem? any help is greatly appreciated!
