My place sure sees a lot of action

I work inside a Walmart in a kiosk selling cell phones. For the past couple of nights I've seen people get arrested for shop lifted. It's amazing at what type of people do it. Just right now I saw a lady, probably in her 50s walk out hand cuffed for robbery because she ended up not only stealing but also pulling a knife on the loss control agent. The other day I saw a girl who looked maybe 20-25 with a BABY get arrested for putting items inside her baby's baby stroller! I was like WTF is going on!!!!!!! A lot of these people are compulsive stealers. They did a special on these types of people on MSNBC. It's like they have to steal. It's pretty weird but at least they're going to prison or jail for a year or two to teach them a lesson.

Klepto, compulsive stealing, whatevers. Same thing. It's sad that this is a problem though lol. Ihave a friend who is like that, and he is a good friend of mine. He stole $100.00 from me and it wasn't even my money that he stole.

i went out with a girl that was a total klepto
no matter where we went she would steal - gas station, mall, hell i wouldn't be surprise if she stole something from my place

but she got the biggest thrill out of it, to her it was like having sex in public & trying to keep from getting caught drove her nuts
i never really understood it since she had the cash to pay for whatever little item she stole that day

I was thinking the exact same thing. She felt deprived, unfulfilled sexually, and had to make up for it by stealing.

It's amazing how much shrinkage occurs in retail settings. The company I work for basically only makes 3 cents per dollar, but theft/breakage is 3.5 cents per dollar. It's amazing how companies survive...
