my pictures folder name disappear

Hi

This has happened quite a few times on my computers. I have a fully up-to-date PC running XP with all updates. When I go into my pictures, the folder names are missing, so it just appears as the folder with the thumbnail that has the picture of the folder and the folder contents, but no folder name. This only happens in the thumbnail view, and doesnt occur in subfolders.

Can someone out their please help me. Thanks very much
