My Phone's WinMo 6 works/looks/feels like crap. Anyway to change the interface?

I've got a HTC Wing and I dislike the Windows Mobile 6 setup.... just sort of unintuitive, sluggish, choppy, etc. Is there anyway to customize it... like a premade theme, skin, etc.?

How difficult and risky would it be to load another mobile OS on it?

XDA as others have mentioned. Or you can try out the SPB Mobile Shell, they have a 15 day trial. If you've installed the Windows Marketplace for Mobile, you can download it directly from there.

I'm not really sure how well SPB will work on a Wing though.

I wouldn't use SPB on a Wing unless you can overclock it. I used to run mine at 300mhz. :awe:

I still recommend the OpenTouch 7 rom. It'll fly at stock speeds on the Wing.

Yea its probably a bit too flashy for the Wing. Runs nice and smooth on my HD2 though!

hehhehe yeah the Wing is only 201 MHZ under factory settings. I'm going to try out that opentouch ROM Rad mentioned once my microSD cards get here. That SPB shell looks pretty sweet though....

I had 2.1 on my myTouch for a bit but it was too laggy.

But since then I have learned to overclock and tweak swappiness....hrrmmmm......

Live wallpapers or a ROM that didn't have them?

I only like the live wallpapers when I'm using a 3d launcher. The regular app tray seems to lag no matter what when I'm using most live wallpapers (wallpaper of life is lag free).
