I have a samsung touchpoint 1100 and I have left it in my pants twice. It went thru the full wash cycle and dryer cycle both times. Both times it was off when I took it out. I pulled it apart at the battery and sat it in my sink for about 2 hours with a blowdryer pointing at it on low. Worked just fine afterwards both times :)

She's still in action right now..

Mine fell off its clip, bounced off a rock, and into a lake. Only there for a few seconds, got it out, dried off. It worked for a while but gradually wouldn't charge anymore, had to get a new phone. :(

<< Sorry, I hope it still works. Blow drying and a little light WD-40 works wonders >>

You sure you want to use WD-40 on a cell phone?
Maybe a contact cleaner instead?

<< Mmm...should have gotten a Nokia. Those things are tough as nails >>

I rolled off a couch onto mine and killed the screen; they can't be that tough

I would highly suggest rinsing it inside and out with rubbing alcohol, it will help evaporate the water and it should not leave any watermarks. And I would also say, as many other have, that after you have rinsed it in rubbing alcohol to blow dry it real good.

I've dropped 2 cordless phones in the crapper. So don't feel bad :D
The second one's speaker worked fine but the mic broke :(

A few people have dropped their cell phones in what we call "the pit" at work. It's where the Olympias (better than Zamboni) dump the snow. It sucks when your cell phone falls into 8 feet of 20 degree water, brine, and ice.
