I have a P4B533-V with a 1.6A Ghz P4 and 512mb or DDR ram. I think it runs at 533mhz but I'm not sure.

Anyhow it seems to have burned out or something, I turn it on and get nothing on the screen, not even the bios and the harddrive light just sits on accessing the HD. So I figure the processor is probably not burned out and it is a problem with the MB which I use the onboard video. (thus why I don?t see any video, a problem with the mb video.)

Anyhow, If I have to buy a new motherboard I'd rather try to get a super small case as I've come to realize that the gigantic ATX case I have takes more room than it is worth, because I don?t use it for anything that I could need all that space for.

Anyhow what do I look for to make a PC in a tini tiny case that I could put my processor in, my ram, my HD, my DVD-R, my Sound blaster. No fancy modding I just want to buy it off the shelf. I'm in the SF bay area, can I buy what I need at frys?

Any way to be able to add a gaming vid card if I want someday and upgrade the processor? I've read of power supply problems feeding video cards.

I think just about any S478 P4 DDR board out there today will run a 1.6A. If you're sure all your other components work and you want a SFF, you can spend ~$200 (online pricing, give or take $25-$30) and pick up a Shuttle or Biostar SFF and just drop your components in and re-install the OS. Fry's will probably have a selection of them, though probably not as inexpensive as online if they're not on sale. Other possibilities are a micro-atx board and case (e.g google Antec Aria). Your options really depend on your budget.

What are some good reliable retailers of SFF? Newegg? Any others?

I'd like to keep the CD-R/DVD hidden as it is the wrong color. Know any with hiden drive bays?

I'd like to keep my DVD drive and my DVD-R in one system, any SFF with two drive bays?

Antec Aria is a great idea!!!

With the coming of BTX will we see the demise of micro Atx?
