Hi, i've never encountered this before: my pc's clock is faster. In couple of hours, it gains about 30 seconds! What could be causing this, considering the fact that everything works fine?

thanks! But what i am asking is, does this awkward problem have any negative effect? Could bios update correct this? Cuz i corrected it like a week ago, and today, it had already gained +8 minutes. And also (this doesnt happen in bios screen) if i look at the second hand in my win xp, it moves 4 sections than stalls, than moves 4 sections, then stalls. It doesnt affect PC's performance (all the benchies show appropriate (for the h/w) results). but why is this happening?

just read couple of articles of people with the same problem. Apparently, it doesnt affect anything but the time stamps on emails, savegames, documents, etc. I am jut overreacting - probably cuz none of my built-pc had any problems at all. Like my "wise" frind says "f this".
Thanks guys!

i notice you have an asus board.... the a7n8x. seems to be a common theme here. and no, windows doesn't get it's time from the bios, because my bios clock is fine while my windows is usually ahead.

here's a question for you, are you overclocking?
