My PC turns on on its own when I turn it off

Greetings, I have had a new pc for a while and everything goes ok except a little thing that its making me mad, whenever I turn it of by means of start menu or through a shutdown timer, it turns on about after 2 seconds it restarts.

Its annoying because I dont have much money and I like the pc to turn off when it has finished downloading or whatever and not sit there consuming power for nothing.

Information:

OS: Windows 8.1
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z87-HD3
PSU: Corsair CS650M 650W 80 Plus Gold

The pc was asambled in the shop and I havent modified anything in the bios, I looked around to see if it was turn on lan or turn on with keyboard or something, but no.

THanks

Check for wake settings in the bios. Disconnect keyboard/mouse and see if they are triggering the boot.

It usually is either usb device or a nic/wireless nic that is triggering the restart. There may also be a simple setting that has a desired power state of on which will turn it on whenever it shuts off.

If you find none of those things, I'd suggest looking for a BIOS update and then checking again.

I had a PCIe FPGA development board that would cause my system to power on immediately after power down. It literally could not be turned off; it had to be unplugged. To fix it I had to cut one of the PCIe signal lines to that board. Wake settings should not effect this.

When I had the issue turned out I had two devices that were table at turning on or waking up my system. Wireless mouse and Wireless NIC.
