I have a p4, and everytime I go to shutdown the stinking thing just starts right back up again. I have the latest bios upgrade. Has anyone ever heard of this? How would I fix this so that when I say shutdown, it will actually shutdown?
Thanks AAT! Windows XP.

You are getting a BSOD on shutdown. Disable auto-restart on error and you will see the error. Set System Properties->Advanced->Startup and Recovery Settings->Automatically Restart Windows to OFF.

I have this problem too. I tried PCHPlayer's method but it still reboots. My computer used to shut down fine but I think it started after I installed a program or something.

Any other solutions? My work computer is an IBM Netvista running Win2k. thanks
