My pc is messing up.. sluggish and stuff .. plz help

Hi everyone
recently my pc has started to act sluggish.. it would take a long time refreshign webpages (like 2-3 sec).. and the system would just act sluggish.. furthermore win98 has started to report that i am running out of diskspace even tho i have like 3.6 gigs left(outta a 30 gig). i cant even save downloaded files anymore.
i am running a p3-733, ibm 75gxp 30 gig. win98 SE

Yep, definitely a good idea

Also, go to start..run..and type "msconfig" ...then go to "startup" tab and uncheck all the crap that most likely starts up with the computer. That might free up some resources

Get more RAM man! should free up precious hdd space misused as swap file! IE is usually misbehaves on comps with scarce ram......

before you defrag delete the temp. internet files, check the temp directory for any junk, any old emails that had huge files, also if you have outlook and use the newsgroup on it reset the headers etc...
