My PC died - how do I get my itunes content?

My desktop kicked the bucket the other day. I have all of the files (most anyway) backed up onto another drive. How do I go about getting all my shit into the ituns on my new laptop?

My ipad and iphone both want to delete all their content and sync with the empy ituns library on my new computer. Anyone know how to transfer everything over either from the backed up files or via syncing?

Were you backing up just the files or the entirety of the iTunes Library folder?

If the latter, then you can just copy that to where the new, empty, library is and they should be happy as clams.

Otherwise...

If the new laptop is logged into iTunes using your same account and authorised then you don't have to delete everything on your phone to or ipad to sync.
