Hi,

I had bought a PC with the following config this Feb:

Core 2 Duo 1.8ghz
Kingston 1GB DDR2 667
MSI 945 GCM-7 M/B
160GB Seagate HDD
Samsung 17" CRT monitor

This setup was running fine till I bought a new 19" LCD monitor yesterday.

This is the BENQ E900WA and supports a native resolution of 1440x900.

However, i've been unable to set this resolution on my onboard GMA950 display adaptor:shocked:.

It either goes to 1024x768 or 1400x1050... and the display looks horrid in either case!

My PC advisor says I'll have to buy a dedicated video card.. and I don't want to do that, coz all I use this PC for is for email & internet browsing.

Is there a solution?

Please help

Have you gone to Intel's website and grabbed the latest drivers for the IGP? I can't think of any reason why the GMA 950 wouldn't support your panels native resolution, since it evidently supports a higher resolution. It might be possible to force an 'unsupported' resolution as well. Others may know more.
