My Palm PDA no longer syncs via USB port?

It sync'd fine for the past year. today when i tried to sync, my computer locked up. i had to power off.

now when i try to sync, nothing happens. pda just sits there in the cradle waiting for a connection.

i've uninstalled, reinstalled Palm desktop, but to no avail.

What's wrong?

And suggestions on how to get my Visor to sync to the PC?
