My P3700 fails in 3DMark when at 933Mhz.. Opinions?

Hi,

Today i got my new Slotket and ASUS P3V4X. I ordered a ASUS Slotket but instead was shipped the Abit Slotket III. It seems to be working ok. When my computer (in W2K) is at 700Mhz i can run 3DMark and get a score of 3800 w/ my DDR-DVI. Now, i went into the Bios and upped the Processor to 933Mhz w/ 1.75v. Well, when I go to 3DMark It does like 10 seconds of benching and then goes back to Win2K and says "Test Aborted". But i can still use Win2K. I used CPUID and even though i installed the "turbo" VIA driver, it says AGP 2x. Also in my BIOS i had it set to AGP 4x but put it to AGP 2x since that is what Win2K says. I "think" i have the AGP at 1/2 divider. I have everything in the bios on "Auto".

Does anyone know why i keep getting aborted. Could the "Turbo" driver be messing w/ it or does anyone think i should try to up my voltage to 1.8v? Is it safe??

K, I figured out its the Processor that is stable in Win2K but not "that much" in games. It did the D3D tests just fine, but failed during the CPU test in 3DMark. Is it safe to burn the processor in at 1.8v or even 1.85v??

 
The "turbo" driver sets a value in the registry which allows Windows to use 4X AGP. It will have no effect at all if you set the BIOS from 4X down to 2X (since this overrides Windows). If you are running in jumper-free mode it's not possible (AFAIK) to set the AGP divider to 1/2. You need to set the jumpers to do this (again, AFAIK).

As for what to do... I have no advice. I definitely don't recommend "burning-in". I personally wouldn't bump the voltage up either... but this is my opinion.
 
up your voltage and set agp at 1/2
i don't recommend over 1.9v <-that's already red alarm for me

test stability by running prime95 for 2-4hrs
 
Just so you know the BIOS on the P3V4X automatically picks 1/2 for the AGP divider when you are at 133MHz bus. That really gets annoying when you want to run it at 133 bus and 2/3 AGP divider and need to use the dipswitches.
I KNOW that it automatically picks 1/2 at 133 bus in Jumperfree mode. My stupid Viper II ran on the 133MHz bus in Jumperfree mode, and that thing can't even make it to 70MHz AGP. The only way to not have 1/2 divider with 133 bus on a P3V4X is with dipswitches.
On a side note, the Viper II is no longer in my computer. *Yay!*
