My own turrets are shooting me in HL2!!

In the last part of "Entanglement" Guards can come into the room from 4 different doors.
My turrets kill me here.

butt the tactic is

put the three turrets facing one direction in the turret room, hide in one of the turret closets on the other side of the room and use the shotgun to take out everything that enters that way
 
Even easier than Czar's strat:

When you face the turret closet look to your left, there is a small room nearby. Take 2 turrets in there. Put one on each wall and stand in the middle. They will kill everything.

Btw - I also used those turrets throughout the game... I kept one with me every time they gave them to me. VERY useful.
 
or, if nothing gets you through, backtrack a few saves and grab a turret from before. You can manage to carry one.
