Just got back from the Flying Saucer. Beer Heaven for myself has been achieved. Being a backwoods boy from Kansas ;), and never having experienced beer nirvana...I am complete...Started the evening off with a Sierra Nevada Tumblr, moved on to the Arrogant Bastard, then some Ruination, then Dogfish Head 90 Min., Flying Dog Double Dog, and finished with a Stone 13th Anniv.

Then I walked Beale Street. Love Memphis!!

I should add... what is everyone else personal beer heaven?

Trappist is good. I'm usually too lazy to travel further than Barclay's though. It's only 140 steps from my front door to theirs, fewer if I just sit on the patio.

Went to Hopworks in Portland 2 weeks ago. Good beer but there's a thick organic granola vibe there.

Check out ChurchKey in DC.

Great draft list, and I don't think it's online, but they have over 300 beers available by the bottle, including amazing, hard-to-find Belgians.

Oh, and the food is insanely good. White truffled Mac and cheese? You'd better believe it!

theres a local bar with 45 beers on draft, they change a couple every now and again and have local micro and local seasonal brews as well as other micros and seasonals, i love that place, but its pricey to drink there. they have a shop in the back where you can buy MORE beer and make a custom 6 pack.

theres a wine and beer store also, great selection of beer, many of them are very hard to find. see the list in my sig, i drink a lot of beer and they have stuff ive still never heard of. custom 6 packs there, too

then theres total wine & beer, those places have great selections and let you make custom 6 packs (so does the previously mentioned store, and fresh market and some other places)

harris teeter and lowes foods carry a surprisingly large variety of beer. kansas sucks, but see if you can find a good shopping place in topeka or wichita...i wasnt into beer much there when i lived in kansas so i didnt look around. there *is* a good place or two in topeka that are brewpubs, the blind tiger had some decent beer when i was there a while back.

im also starting to homebrew, at some point ill probably have multiple brews going but right now i just have my first one fermenting...i will soon be my own beer heaven.

The Gingerman Pub. There's lots of them and they all have great selections.

Lot's of them? There are now 6 of them in Texas, they just opened a few more recently. The one in NYC is not affiliated, and I'm not sure if there are other imposters or not.

I would hardly call that a lot of them :p

Just bottled a top notch dublin stout, was entirely drinkable out of the fermenter so it will make brave men weak tears of joy in a month or two :D

How many bars have 6 or more locations?
