My oven is my heater.

I'm doing it North Philly style n**ga!

Oven is cranked to 350 and the door is opened so i can feel that full blast! I think I'll add another twig to the ghetto fire place.

Actually natural gas heat is the best....it's moist so it keeps you warmer and doesn't dry your skin 🙂 My mom still lights burners in the kitchen when I'm over for heat.

I used to do it too when I got free gas. We were on centrally controlled heat so that was the only way to regulate temps.

My friends used to do that last year in their apartment... landlord had control of heat and it was cold there in the winter so they used the oven method. Worked good.

Is this dangerous or not? Not sure what the difference is with a gas heater (mine doesn't have any vents to the outside, maybe others do?)

I'm doing that right now, but I feel silly just turning the oven on, so I put some muffins in there (store-brand muffin mix) and soon I'll have a toasty warm kitchen plus fresh muffins. Also, I boil a pot of water on the stove and have tea.
