Yeah yeah this ain't the tech help forum but no one reads those forums anyways...
Just got Win XP and everything was dandy...all of a sudden, i notice that Outlook Express takes 30 seconds to load...wtf?
I thought maybe it was cuz i just installed norton AV, but it's slow even with NAV disabled... any ideas?

hmm, mine only takes about 2-3 secs at most to load. a lot faster than any of my previous OS's.

nope, one of the first things i noticed was how fast it opened Outlook express. I'm also running NAV 2002. I've done an upgrade from 98 and also a clean install with same results. must be some other issue. this is my system stats:

t-bird 800 w/256mb on XP Pro 5.10.2600

Um, My XP (in a clean formatted HD) takes less than 30 secs to BOOT UP :Q
damn aint that fast? ;) and it's only750Mhz Tbird + 320sdram

my few glitches of WinXP
*Takes unneccesaily long to Shutdown/Restart. The whole rig kind of pauses in shutting down splash screen.. it takes upto annoying 15~ seconds
*Since I installed XP, my comp does NOT shutdown. When I click to shutdown, it RESTARTS. WTF?? I just let it restart and manually have to press the Power button during POST to turn it off..

anyone else having similar prob?

This would happen in Win2k if you turn off the Protected Storage service. Maybe XP has the same thing?
