When i put an incorrect password in, i get an "incorrect password" prompt without sending any data across the internet. Is that normal? Should I be worried?

My wellsfargo account doesn't do that. It sends the data and comes back with "We do not recognize your username and/or password. Please try again."

yeah, every password login i've ever encountered sent the password to the remote server for verification.

this site, for some reason, doesn't. a dialog box just pops up and says i've entered the wrong password. this leads me to believe that my password is saved as a cookie on my pc.

i just thought that was a bit strange.
