my old v3 2000 pci

This is something I've been wondering about for quite a while. I've had a V3 2000 PCI for over a year now, and it always worked fine. It was originally in my k62-333 machine, then last fall I put it in my duron 650. Around christmas-time, it just seemed to stop working. All I got was a blank screen when I booted up. I tried it out in different slots (it was originally in the first), and so I pretty much came to the conclusion that it was dead. So I bought a Radeon LE, and life was good 🙂 Then I got back to college, tried the V3 in my k62 machine, and it detected it, and worked perfectly. Anyone have any idea as to what might have happened?
