My old Thermanright Ultra 120 Extreme...

I'm still using my ol' Ultra 120 Extreme on a Q6600 but I'm wondering if the mounting hardware they sell for, say, LGA 1366 and 1156 will be compatible. Mine was the first Ultra 120 Extreme, so I'm assuming it's Rev. A.

Heck, reviewers back then were puzzled because they suggested a 120mm push/pull setup but didn't provide a second set of clips 'n' strips nor did they sell them. Now, I see that they do but they still don't specify if they include more anti-vibration strips! I see that they also sell a plastic fan holder. Will it fit the original U120E? If so, what about two simultaneously for push/pull? If not, does that mean it only works with two sets of clips or can it still be done with a set + the fan shroud/holder thing?

They have 120mm wire clips that you can buy for the Ultra. I think they did come with those rubber that you stick onto the clips but I didn't bother.. The clips are something like $2

I don't thikn the push/pull is a very good setup mostly because most fans don't have alot of power to pull. But if you find one that does you could try it out

They are also used to hold 120mm fans to the HR03-GT

I was also wondering if my thermalright ultima 90 would mount correctly on the new lynnfield CPUs. Rather not have to buy a new heatsink.
