My very old STR DE345 rear speaker plug ins are no longer working. My DE345 is showing it's age, a 15-16 year old receiver. Yeah I know wow :) So I am looking for a great sony 5.1 500w receiver like the STR DE345. How can I use the speakers that came with the STR DE345 with a newer receiver? I have 5.1 speakers. 1 large front speaker, Two small front speakers, two rear built in wall speakers, and a sub woofer. What sony receiver similar to de345 with 500w and 5.1 do you recommend today? Under $200 is my budget. No I'm not planning to upgrade speakers, just upgrading my old sony de345 receiver.

the only new sony receiver that is close to your budget is Sony STRDH550 5.2 Channel 4K AV Receiver . The lower model is stereo only.

(Amazon has it for $198)

Ok is there a great 5.1 or 5.2 receiver with bluetooth under $300?

Which of these 3 receivers is the best for me or best overall?

Onkyo TX-SR333, Yamaha RX-V381BL, or Denon AVR-S510BT?

I'd highly recommend a Sony STR DN1050, DN1060 or DN1070. You might be able to find a DN1050 or even its little brother the DN850 at a reasonable price 2nd hand.

The DN1040 doesn't have the improved jitter control that the later models feature. That's just one of the reasons the DN1050 was named the best mid range receiver a year or so back.
