Mine's got hand brakes, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Next will be the same. I'll do more research even before committing to Nexus, let alone picking one of their hubs over another. But, it will be internal hub gearing, no doubt about that. I just want one with the same reliability of the Sturmey-Archer. I'll never understand the thinking behind putting a fragile derailleur on a "mountain" bike. Keeping the gears in the hub makes so much more sense, especially on rough terrain.
