My old 1700+TB'a v.s my new 1700+TB'b

Just got my new green 1700+ TB'b 0302 today and put it in my Leadtek nf2. My old cpu is the 1700+ TB'a and the max I can get is 1.73ghz. It is kind of disappointing so I get a 1700+TB'b, put it in set at 1.725v and 166fsb. Go up np, try 175fsb, np. 180fsb np, 185fsb np. Is getting late so I am going to settle for now. I am getting so fvvking exciting so would like to share it w/ u all. Going to run s@h all night and see how it go.

Wow, at default multiplier, thats 2ghz! Not bad for a $50 chip huh?

Bump the voltage up no higher than 1.8v, see how high you can crank that baby 🙂

What kind of cooling do you have?
 
Yep, that is at default mult(11x185). I am sure it can go higher as I am still at relatively low V, but I am afraid my ram is going to hold me back. At 2.04ghz, I thing I am at around 2700+ or 2800+, not bad for a $50 chip.
You won't believe what kind of cooling I am using. I am using the biggest PIII(yes is intel p3) stock heat sink w/ xeon(yes again, intel xeon) fan, this xeon fan is by far the most powerful fan I ever seen.😛

I have SLK-800 b4 on my TB'a, but I find that the temp diff between SLK-800 and my own combo is only 1C. Is not that I havn't seen many, but this combo is good enough and cost me nothing.🙂
 
i might pick me up one to replace my recently fryed cpu's it would be nice to try a week 3 since my other 1700+ was a last year one
