When I press the O key, sometimes, my computer either doesn't recognize it or puts 2 O's

Anyone had this problem with a 600M (Dell)

It's a DELL. Pop out the key and blow out the accumulated junks. A decent Logitech MMKB costs $10 plus shipping.

Well - even when I press it HARD it sometimes doesnt register
Does that mean that it could STILL be a problem with the physical key or did I mess up the electronics on that key?

did I mess up the electronics on that key

Did you spill something on the keyboard?

If not, probably just gunk in the contact or spring, should be fine after cleaning.

My fingers were wet when I typed heh. Just that I think that I only got the top of the keys wet. So if I did mess up the keybooard electrnically, I'd have to contact Fry's or Dell or something t fix it for me?

Doubtful that a little water would have shorted out one key, but always possible.

Try the suggestions we've posted.

If your machine's still under Dell warranty you should be able to get a replacement.

If not, don't try to get it fixed, you'll pay more for that than a new keyboard.

do you still have warranty for dell? i'd send it back saying you "o" key stopped working correctly either that or try to fix it urself by cleaning it but don't open the laptop.

I have a warranty and I bought a 3 year full-insurance which is still valid for 2 more years

Hmmmmmmm
I think that for the 600M, when you pop ouot a key, you cant put it back in becuase my escape key already fell out and it wouldnt go oback in unless I crazyglued it in.

Does anyone know if Dell Insurance has you either:
Ship your computer to Dell
Bring your computer to a local computer storoe suppoorted by Dell
Dell brings an employee too your houose where they fix it
