Next I'm adding a Speed of Sound dual pod A-pillar and Autometer Nexus gauges for wideband a/f and fuel pressure.

I'm considering upping the boost later this year.

hp is addictive.

sorry, but that is not a sleeper. IT is a very nice ride, however!

would it be easier for you to make that HP out of the new 5.0?
Yeah. It would have been a hellova lot easier.
The fact I wasn't patient enough to wait a year for the 5.0 was a big impetus for getting the car blown.
If I had the choice I would start with a 5.0, for sure. I could get almost where I'm at with just bolt-ons.
But I'm happy knowing I could fry the majority of 5.0s currently on the street.

That's my thought, and I hate it when people claim flywheel HP numbers to inflate it. :hmm:
No trying to inflate anything.
Unitl I dyno the thing all I can do is report the canned tune's specs for the car... which is around 500 hp (without the CAI) which equates to around 425rwhp. But why report rwhp if it hasn't been dyno'ed yet?

Why report ANY number if you have absolutely no basis for it except assumptions?

"no basis"? There is a basis - it's the "500 hp Saleen kit". It might fall short of the tuner's claims but it's not going to be tremendously different.

New member tries to impress, not realizing that we have an inordinate number of high performance cars per capita on this board? :awe:

That's called ricer math. If a mod promises "+50hp", you don't just tack on numbers and assume with the intent to impress. 404, impressed not found. I've seen MANY "xxx HP" kits fall well short of their claims due to inflated or assumed numbers.

I know what my car makes and my wife's old car made.
It's called a DYNO SHEET, I have a real world basis and yet I still NEVER make a crank or flywheel claim because i've never had the motor out on an engine dyno.

The difference being, people throw out all kind of random drive train loss percentages from 8 to 25%, and most tend to use the more inflated 20-25% because it makes their numbers look better. Anyone who knows anything about cars doesn't fall for ricer math.

That's a plausible scenario but it's not the case. I've been lurking a long time and I know there are much better cars on these forums. I'm not in a nut-swinging competition.
Meh, I don't blame you for jumping on my shit 'cause I'm sure it happens all the time.
Just thought my stuff was kinda nice.

Dude, don't get me wrong. It's a SWEET ride!! I just hate it when people throw out numbers without a REAL basis. It's the F&F syndrome. My car makes xxx HP or "it's a 10 second car" yet they've never dynoed it or been to the track.

Nice ride. Not sure I like the red steering wheel though.

When I get the money I plan on throwing a Kenne Bell blower on my Mustang....but 4:10's are being ordered tomorrow.

^ What? Love the red interior and streeing wheel. Sick combo, and your ride is sweet, most people on here drive rusted down mini vans that can't even be lifted at a shop without the use of some 2x4's to spread out the weight.

Man, cut the guy some slack. He's new.

OP, slick car (I like your wheels). Post up some dyno numbers when you get a chance. I'd like to see what real world numbers your car is putting down.

Don't knock 2 x 4's! They're my best friend at the shop, getting on 2-posts, dynos, flatbeds, etc. :D

Kenne Bell makes a great twin screw ... do it! I almost went that route but their 2010 kit wasn't on the market at the time. I was also considering the Edelbrock TVS blower but found a good price for the Saleen kit so I did it.
