My Noctuas are going bad... or my ears

Hi folks,

Lately I noticed that my two intake Noctua NF-P12s with ULNA adapters are making a really annoying pulsing high frequency howl. I solved the pulsing by using a LAN adapter on one of them but now the overall noise level has increased beyond what I take as comfortable. Yes, I'm a sick man. Most of you would say that my rig is "inaudible", but not me, ha ha :D.
Now I'm a the crossroads - What kind of fans should I replace them with? I've done a little research and the Zalman ZM-F3-FDB has caught my attention. Their impellers look a lot like the highly venerated (at SPCR) Nexus Real Silent and Scythe S-Flex. I used Nexus fans in the past and have nothing but good things to say about their quietness but they have a sleeve bearing. The Zalmans have an FDB and should be "set it and forget it". Anybody use them as case fans? How are they? As a temporary solution I'm going to install my old Be Quiet SilentWings PURE that got replaced with Noctuas because the wing tips made a low frequency turbulent buzz.

Why thank you, sir.

Edit: looks like I'll have to kiss an make up with my Be Quiets. When using the Noctua resistors not only is the sound signature and level is more pleasant, but they shaved a couple degrees off my temps.

"Noctuas are overpriced gimmicks." - me, having some serious buyer's remorse.
