My Nightmare of a Night

I was sitting in a restaurant yesterday evening, enjoying a waffle with my fiancee. Everything was going pretty well until we heard a loud screech. We got up to look out the window and lights started to shine in at us. It turns out an elderly man lost control of his sedan that evening and was driving right at us. It was like some kind of nightmare you hear about on the news. He came right through the front of the restaurant, turns out when the paramedics came they took out about a dozen injured. We had to stay and give statements. injuring more than a dozen people when he plowed into a restaurant, a fire official and witnesses said. Fire officials came, police came, management was shocked.

We went home that night in almost silence, we couldn't really say much. I just couldn't get it out of mind so I called my mom. I told her about how crazy the driver was, and how I was still shocked. The fire department had pushed the car back to free a woman pinned against the wall. A poor baby and at least one other person were hit so damn hard that they were thrown through the wall into some shitty dry cleaner. My voice was starting to shake now, after I told my mom what I had just seen. Then she got scared and said "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air."

Jeesh, you guys are harsh. I guess the Dapper Lad of West Philly isn't appreciated around these parts. Oh well. It's April 1st, don't be jerks.

damn, i was expecting your fiancee to get hit by the car and die or at least be seriously injured.

one can only hope
