Would you guys believe my nick "deepthrot" was banned from here? Because it was "offensive". Uhh, yes to people with dirty minds. This is a derivation of Deepthroat from the X-Files and Watergate informant. I still can't believe the level of censorship on this board. I just want some deals dammit.

Which was directly ripped from the rather infamous porno of the same name.

Which means it doesn't take ALL that dirty of a mind to find it offensive.

Viper, are you dumb? You really think the "deepthroat" from watergate was named after a porno? Deepthroat from Xfiles was named after the watergate informant who was NEVER NAMED and was called that because he had a deep voice. Learn some history before you talk about things you dont know about.

OK, deept - you and I just posted the same info. The difference is I posted a polite discussion on the history of the name useage, and you called Viper dumb.

And read the book by Bernard and Woodstien... I'm pretty sure you'll find the name came from the movie (popular at the time).

AT has a history of banning nicknames that the general population would find offensive. Whether or not YOU find it offensive is completely irrevelant. Like the mod pointed out, we have people under the age of 14 who visit this site. A large percentage of our visitors are probably between 16 & 18. Show some maturity & be thankful they haven't banned this nick as well, for alluding to your previously banned account.

I agree with censorship on AT (they can do what they want). However, I don't understand why RagingBitch is allowed. Children visit here, and since they are protecting children from improper language then bitch shouldn't be allowed either. JMHO. Good job Mods.

Just a side note to my above statement. I have nothing against RagingBitch as a person. I just don't see a huge diff between that handle and the one in question.

Having passed that, you'll likely enjoy yourself here. We're a little on the conservative side (with a few notable exceptions COUGHI'MTYPINGCOUGH), but for the most part we're pretty decent.
