Hello, right now I have an EVGA 6800GT, I am going to be moving over to PCIE in my next biuld in the next week or 2. I know that there are alot of video cards out there that are better than the one I got right now but my question is what is comparable to the 6800GT and what is the next best card over the 6800GT, ATI, Nvidia, it dont really matter.
I really cant afford the best card in the market, I am just looking for the card that will perform better than the one I got, I will have about $300.00-$400.00 dollars, so whatcha think.

thanks

I'm kinda in the same boat as far as upgrading my 68gt. I've been waiting for the 7800gtx price to drop but the way it's going the x1800xt is looking like a possible better deal if the prices get in line since the 1900 is out I'm hoping the 1800 will drop quicker than the 78gtx.

for a fleeting moment I was going to just go with the 1900XT but then I thought, I am not into gaming as I was before. but I do still like games so I will at times still play them.
My delema is that I am moving to a 939 socket chip and that means new card, does anybody have anything good to say about the AGP and PCIE motherboards? are they worth it? I dont want to rule out a new card now but if the market is going to drop prices as new generation come out in the next few months then I wonder if just buying the new card then and doing all the other upgrades now would be worth it. or should I just get it all done now

Asrock 939dual is a awesome board for the money. You may have to do some adjusting depending on your overclocking, but I have my setup at 2.6 and my stepfather with a 148 Opty at 2.5 like its nothing. Just get a chip with a nice multiplier and that wont need over 1.45 to do anything major.
