Very cool.. I think it will last a long time. Unfortunately, the one person who noticed it at work said something to the effect of: you got a new watch.. I dont really like watches..

Eh.. anyways

Nice taste in a waste. what do you think of that one?

Might buy that one, but what do you watch experts think?

Casios are kind of hit and miss I think.. I have one which has served like a champ for 4 years. I have another that felt cheap and I regreted buying it almost as soon as it happened...

That one looks ok.. I personally worry about build quality more than anything. Pics from multiple angles can kind of give you an idea of what you are getting into...

well, they are used for the stopwatch function mainly.. but they also indicate 24 hour time in normal mode..

I've seen that watch at target before. The back of the watch is plastic, it's annoying as hell. If you're going to build a watch, make the whole damn thing from one material.

The technology is pretty interesting, but I refuse to buy a half metal, half plastic watch. It's cheap and the idea is retarded.

Also, the watch is like $59 at the store so don't even bother buying it there. And another thing, it's not gold tinted at all despite how the pic looks, it's flat silver.

That is my experience with my second casio watch.. a generally cheap feel and poor build quality. Fossil is another discount watch maker that seems to be a little more consistant than Casio... but I have also heard some bad things about them... (breaking quickly etc..)

If you can, try to spend more and get something that will last.. ... I think you will be glad in the long run...

Mass consumerism causes people to be indifferent of a person's luxury trinkets these days.

Sounds like a thesis statement

Actually, many years ago when I was in HS, I bought a casio polished stainless divers watch/bracelet for $70 or so with my own damn hard earned money. :p It was my first decent watch and it was actually heavy and well built. It used some sort of indestructible crystal mineral glass that never scratched for the 5+ years I owned it.

Unfortunately, the clasp on the band broke after 5 years of every day use. I went to a watch place and asked for help looking for a band. The lady who looked at it commented it must have been expensive, probably cause it was heavy. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a matching band. If I could buy that same exact watch today I would without hesitation.

Since I liked that one watch so much, I keep looking at Casio watches from time to time, but it's almost all garbage.
