Well, I just splashed out on a new toy. Unfortunatly I can only go for a light bike at the mo, but still, 0 -> 60 in 4.5 seconds isn't too shabby...

varooom!

Absolute steal as well! Heavy bike coming in 12 months.

Ever think about buying the human-sized bike instead of just a toy of it? That'd be way cool.

Nice bike. ;)

It's law to wear a helmet over here, there's no way I could get on a bike without one plus a jacket & gloves anyway.

So it's a 125 2T, I think the power's only about 35BHP but it red-lines at 11K. Weight is 110Kg.
Bought it from this rich family for £1200. Only got 4000 on the clock so it's barely run in.
Because it's a small 2T it has pretty low torque so top speed is only around 110Mph, although that's plenty enough to kill yourself :) The power comes in the revs so it screams up there. A blast to ride.

I have to start on a light bike. Not sure about the law elsewhere but you have to have a light bike (up to a 125) for 12 months before you can apply for the licence for a heavy bike (>125cc). I'm thinking of a 450 Duke or maybe a 748, see what happens...

There are a couple of faster bikes in the same range, namely the Cagiva Mito and the RS 125, but they have a tendancy to sieze/blow up (proper race engines). The honda is much more reliable apparently, which is why I went for it. When I was 16 I had a moped (50cc); I bought it for £750, but over £2000 was spent on it over the 18 months I had it (three engines!). Now I want something that'll last...

I'm thinking of strapping a camera to it and getting some footage of a dodgy nighttime burn, anyone know where I could host a movie?
