I picked-up a 3.2EE at a decent $$ to get by for awhile until the dual-core processors are available.

I bumped it up to 3840MHz for the time being, and will attempt running dual P95 for 24 hours.. (So far, so good) :)

I think I finally will need to grab some RAM that will play well with my P4C800-E @ 500MHz.... Any suggestions? I already tried the G.Skill LE and LD with piss-poor results. :(

I will post some benchmarks when I reach my optimal stable speed / safe VCore.... ;)

if you have a vapo chil, why didn't you just get a fx53 or 55?

I picked-up the EE for a $$ that was hard to pass-up... (much less than an FX53 or 55 ;) )

Dual P95 still alive and kicking @ 3840..... :) After 24 hours are up later on, I will post some benchmarks.....

No suggestions on some RAM that will do a sure 500MHz in my P4C800-E?

Very nice. I had a 3.4EE a while back, same core. Just for reference, I maxed out somewhere between 3.8-3.9. I was on an AI7 and BH5 1:1 tight, but since it was a 17x multi, the fsb wasn't as high as yours (220-230 range). The AI7 had the luxury of 3.2 vDimm as well to match the BH5, but the PWM temps on the board would get very hot after just a few minutes of prime95.

I really never fealt that 5:4 2-2-2 was any hinderance to performance with the P4, but if you are intent on 1:1, OCZ PC3700 Gold rev2 or rev3 would be a good match I would think. IIRC, when the P4 was popular for enthusiasts, rev2 was the way to go.

I think OCZ PC3700 Gold rev3 or rev2 have much nicer timings at DDR500 than the PC4000 stuff out there. Good luck and nice to see someone tweaking somthing other than an A64 Winny. Out of boredom, I'm working on older P4Ms and Celery Mobiles right now.

Thanks.... :)

I will look into the RAM that you suggested.

After passing dual P95 @ 3840 for more than 24 hours, I decided to just bump it on up to 3.9GHz to see how it does. ;) I will let dual P95 do it's thing for another 24 hours, (hopefully) then do a benchmark fest..... I would like to see 4.0GHz rock-solid, but I have a feeling that anything above 3.9 will be a no-go at my absolute VCore limit. (1.65v) ...

Mine would flirt with 4G and would even post, but then crap out shortly thereafter. Better luck to you.

I would say grab some OCZ TCCD if you're planning on a high FSB. Expensive, but it will do the job.

My PDP TCCD 1GB Dual Channel Kit does 250MHz 2.5-3-3-5 PAT Enabled at 2.6v, memtest stable. I have a feeling any newer TCCD should do well.

Not so expensive CPU, but EXPENSIVEEE!!! Cooling. If you want to overclock on the cheap you just get a Winchester and a good HEATSINK. much cheaper and maybe if you are lucky with the OC, even faster.

Why would I want to use a heatsink? My VapoChill will also fit the A64.... :p

I more than likely have spent more $$ on watercooling gear and heatsinks over the years than the VapoChill cost... :Q

It is very easy to switch processors, there is absolutely no condensation, it is pretty quiet, and runs 24/7 with no problems. Well worth the investment IMO.

EDIT: As far as speed goes, the 3.2EE @ 3.9GHz is pretty zippy... ;)
