My New Toy

NutBucket

Lifer
Now that I'm done pouring money into my car I thought I'd step back to another hobby of mine. I figured it was finally time to upgrade from this so I invested in something new.

Here she is in all her "straight out of the box" glory:

Front

Rear
Top

And with the flash:

An Elan 7? Nice. I'm a digital fanboi myself but if someone were to hand me a EOS 1V, I wouldn't be complaining...

Sweet camera NutBucket! 🙂

How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

I see you got the grip for it too. Nice choice. At least it's not a Nikon.

I kid, I kid 😛

not about the nikon part, i hope

35mm just doesn't do it for me anymore. Digital does a fine job of emulating 35mm's printability.

Now if you were showing me a sweet Hassy or view camera I'd be drooling... 😉

Sorry, no real need for medium format or anything of the sort😉

the 7N is nice, I guess you didn't find a need for the eye tracking focus, which is what the 7NE model is, correct?

I'm thinking about getting a 35mm canon slr, but having a tough decision between the Ti rebel with some nice lenses, or spring for a 7N. I guess the price difference isn't all that much, but I'm not so sure as to the comparisson as far as features between the Ti and the 7N.

edit: just checked the canon webbie, they have a newer T2 out. will reserch this a bit mroe.....

Yeah, the eye-controlled bit I found a bit unnecessary, but that's just me.

nice nice I agree that the eye focus deal is pointless

how much mre does a EOS-3 cost then the Elan 7?

the 3 body is about $850, versus $300 for the 7N body. from www.bhphoto.com

so its lika a nikon N80? and the eos-3 is like the F100

very nice toy indeed

I use the eye focus all the time, and find it helpful, especially when the objects I wish to photograph are moving in the frame. Kids, you know 😀
