Very cool, what does one of those run?

I paid $269 for the package (gun, extra magazine, battery, and express shipping..ordered it on Saturday..it made it here this morning. Not bad for Hong Kong to FL, eh? 🙂)
The package I bought is the last one on that page.

IT'S A GODDAMN MAGAZINE. EVEN IN AN AIRSOFT GUN, IT'S A GODDAMN MAGAZINEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought my G3 SG-1 Assault/Sniper Rifle from Dentrinity a couple years ago. I really should dust off my airsoft guns and setup a target in the back yard or something. Or better yet, find somebody that'll let me shoot at them. 😉

I find it funny that even though you are shooting little plastic pellets at people with your toy gun, the projectiles are wider than the real thing.

Even though the physics makes this more likely, in that when you dont want to do damage you would want a wider, slower projectile so that you are putting less pressure on the impact site, I still find it somehow humorous

(And yes, I know this is also the case with any Airsoft replica of a gun chambered in 5.56 NATO... EDIT: not that I am implying the P90 is chambered in 5.56)

It's cheaper to buy/produce 6mm BBs and barrels vs 5.56mm, 5.7mm, 9mm, .40, .45, etc. 😉 😛

There are 8mm guns/BBs around also, but they're nowhere near as common.

I understand the desire for a common caliber, especially since a 45cal pellet would be a lot heavier to compensate for the extra drag (if you want similar balistics), meaning it would both require more force, which translates into less shots per battery, and more pain for whoever gets hit. Frankly, a standard 6mm pellet makes a lot of sense... I just think its funny that the toy guns have a wider barrel than the real guns (in this case)
