the video and sound card are due in before Friday. this is my first home built pc and will need help putting it together and getting it up and running. i would like to o/c it after it is up and running.

bring on the help and suggestions

also is the hsf that came w/ the cpu good enough or should i upgrade?

Nice looking system!
You are building it with a RAID board, are you going to add another drive? If not drop the Pro2-RU and just get a Pro-2.

Save yourself a few dollars and get a Lite-On CDRW, really nice for the money. I use one everyday and it has not made a coaster in the last 2 months since new! They ship with NERO now which can save you a few bucks if you don't have it.

If your going to try OCing then I would think about a better HSF. But you could put it together the way you have it now if you've bought the retail box 1800, as it comes with the HSF anyway. When you get board later, then think about OCing.
