Best thing for it on the Nvidia camp is GeForce FX 5800 obviously, but that is mucho $$. Best bang for the buck would be the GF4 Ti4200 128Meg. Overclock that sucker and you've got a Ti4600.

What kind of a budget are you looking at?

Looks good, thats a 2.66 P4 with 533FSB not a 2.6 with 400FSB right. Well how come you dont want anything ati? Honestly im not a fanboy of one or another but unless you want a overpriced underperforming FX card, you will be stuck getting an aged Geforce4 Ti card that isnt DX9 capable. I know some of the ATI video cards in the past had terrible driver support but since the release of the 9700 Pro they have gotten much better. Look in other forums about the card or start a thread yourself askign about it and im shure youll get mostly good reviews. Also look at reviews by Anandtech and other web sites about the newer ATI line of cards and you will see that they are top notch. For performance sadly Nvidia and ATI are the only real competitors. Nvidia has fell behind quite a bit as of late, although the NV35 is suppose to be good but you might have to wait 6 months before its redily avalible. If your going for top of the line card I would choose the 9800 Pro thats going to be out in a couple of weeks. If not willing to put down $399 for one I would think about either the 9700 Pro $299 or the 9500 Pro $170. I currently have a Geforce2 Ultra and love it so even knough it looks like it with all the ATI suggestions im not a fanboy, they just have the lead in about every sector for the moment. Hope Nvidia can put out a killer card next round to keep the compatition strong and the prices low while giving the consumer more choices.

Edit: Welcome to Anandtech:)
