My new SN25P and an SATA HD - build advice needed.

I've ordered my SN25P from NewEgg today along with the rest of the giblets needed to bring it to life but I have a question for you experts before working on it. I've never used an SATA HD before and I'm wondering if I need to do anything special to get the OS (XP Pro) to recognize the SATA HD when I install the OS? I will use the WD2500JD, the Western Digital 250GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive. I'm not planning on using any type of RAID configuration; I'd like to just install the OS and then partition it appropriately using Partition Magic. What are you experiences with this? Any words of wisdom for me? Thanks in advance for you help.

I had a problem when I had all three HDD's hooked up.

Two of them had info on them I wanted to keep, one was to be the OS drive. This would just not work, I tried several different ways. Finally had to disconnect the other two drives, OS loaded right up, no problems.

Do you have only one hard drive?

No other issues besides that. Lovin' it so far. 🙂

Yes jamautosound, it will be my only HD. I have another HD laying around that I might install later this month to use for data backup, an IDE Western Digital 40GB.

Forgot to say that after I loaded the OS onto the main drive, I hooked up the other two and everything has been normal since.
