My new setup, NOW, what type memory? Plz comment!

Hi.

I am putting together a new system. Here is what I have ordered:

Mobo: EPOX 8K5A3 (http://www.epox.com/html/motherboard.asp?product=EP-8K5A3plus&lang=1)
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2000+/266 FSB
Video: LEADTEK Geforce4 TI4400 128Mb

Now the question I have is:
The specs for the Mobo list it as accepting DDR 2700. Is that the only memory I can use? Can I use 2100 or higher than 2700?

Also, opinions on the listed components are welcome.

Yes, you can use any of the two memory you listed, or higher. I would get teh PC2700. The PC3000 is usually overclocked PC2700 at a higher price.

the only difference is that pc2100=133mhz and pc2700=166mhz
since the mobo officially supports pc2700, might as well get that and run the cpu/ram asynchronously (look for an option in the bios)

you can get higher if you wish, but unless you are planning on overclocking there is no use imo
