I'd get a HDD with 16mb cache.
X1900XT/X > 7900GTX
Don't care for SLI motherboards.
Probably would go with BenQ or NEC burner unless you need to burn DVD-RAMs
If you plan on overclocking, I'd get Opteron 165. Otherwise 4200+ is good.

Overall good.

That HD isn't bad, seagate have a good warranty (5 year) and are ok speed wise.

Ditch the SLI motherboard unless you are definitly going to use it, it's a marketing trick to waste your money (works too).

Think about the 1900XTX, it's cheaper than the 7900GTX, as fast if not faster, and the only real downside is the higher noise and power draw.

That's a bit of a crap PSU for a high end system. I'd get an enermax liberty instead. Or a seasonic s12, or even a OCZ powerstream. 500W is more than enough for it. Hell a 400W would probalby be ok.

i definitely cant fit the liberty into the budget, will i be fine for the time being until I can afford the new one?

And any specific 16mb hdds you can think of that are around 130-160$ price ?can of course

Hm..maybe I can, let me check :p

I am just going to cancel the order (I ordered it half an hour ago), take out the SLI, change the card to the 1900XTX, change the PSU to that, change teh HD to something better..and it should be around the same price..

Lemme reupdate..I assume if I cancel they just refund assuming its not processed (it's not.)

That looks pretty fantastic, only thing to note is that you invalidate the warranty on the graphics card by swapping out the heatsink, i'd put everything together and run it for a week or two to make sure you don't have a defective one.

The 1655 is a nice drive, but it's a lightscribe one, the 1640 should be a bit cheaper if you're never going to use the lightscribing.

Lightscribing? I'm unfamiliar with that... So I guess I won't be using it. lol.

Hmm..now to spend another 150$ no idea on what though lol

I see, lightscribing, something to do with labels..yea i wont use that. Did you mean the 1650 instead? that's the step below the one I had.

Will something like watercooling be useful? or just plain stupid.

Lightscribing is neat because it lets you write words on the CD like Cancun Party 2006 and it'll show up when you burn the cd. But I think you need special CDs to do that and they cost more.

The seagate drive is good.

$150...hmm you have a set of speakers?

What about getting 2x7900GT cards vs. 1 X1900XTX card? Would that fit if you add $150?

I have a set of z5500s...

2 7900GTs would require SLI wouldn't it?

I could jump from 4200+ to 4400+ but i heard it was hardly noticeable.

Could just get a logitech G7 for 100$ C

Could also get a second HDD..
