My new rig

Read my thread here. See system II - the PIII-667 with 640MB and a GeForce DDR (the 1st-generation GeForce)? That's my system right now.

So anyway, after years of financial insolvency which are now at an end, I've gathered together most of a new rig.

Here's what I have purchased so far, from retailers and forum members (still awaiting delivery on some parts, but they're done deals):

DFI LanParty NF4 Ultra-D
AMD Venice 3000+ LBBLE week 23 *PAW, no heatspreader
4 512MB OCZ Performance v3 PC3200 DIMMs
BFG 7800GTX
Swiftech GPU block and BGA ramsinks (see note below for Arctic Silencer)
LG GSA-4163B DVD-RW
Logitech MX518 mouse
BenQ X120 keyboard

What I am about to purchase after Labour Day:

200GB SATA Samsung drive (with Nidec motor, I checked)
Enermax EG565P-VE v2.0
Antec SLK1650 (will remove and sell 350W PSU)
Arctic Silencer 64 (temporary to get system running, watercooling system being assembled, waiting for BIP III's to be back in stock)

Cost me $1675 CDN, which is about $1400 US.

Looks good.
I would've gone for 2x1GB, but it essentially works out to be the same.

I got a really good deal on the 4x512MB. It gave me enough extra to get a 7800GTX, and I figured of the two, that would make the most difference.
