Ok, so I've been planning on building a new computer for about a year now but with all the distractions I've been faced with since last summer have kept me from saving enough money to purchase all the parts. It just so happens that I get all the money I need around the time the new Core 2 Duo chips hit the market so I planned a build and have just about purchased all the parts I need to put together my new rig. On Wednesday I should be getting everything in the mail via FedEx and will be posting pics as soon as I get done building it Wednesday night. Feel free to leave any comments you might have.
Case: Cooler Master Centurion 534
Mobo: ASUS P5B Deluxe
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo e6400
GPU: EVGA 7900GT KO
PSU: Enermax Liberty 500 Watt
HDD: Seagate Barrcuda 320GB
RAM: Corsair TWIN2X2048-5400C4 2GB DDR2-675
DVD: LITE-ON 16X DVD±R DVD Burner W/LightScribe
Floppy: MITSUMI Black 1.44MB 3.5" Internal USB 2.0 digital card reader with Floppy Drive
All in all, the whole thing cost me about $1535 with keyboard and mouse as well as some other accessories I bought. I'll be topping everything off with a new 21 inch Gateway LCD monitor, but I'm kinda out of money right now so I have to save up for that now. 😀
