My New Rig.....for Work!

I didn't pick it... I have no idea why they ordered full towers anyway...except it's got fans galore. 2x200mm's, 1x230mm, and I dont even know how many 120's

The "Storm Trooper" case 🙂. First time I've seen one. Hey, ugly or not, it's pretty cool to work for a company that hands you a bucket o'parts and tells you to build your own.

This. My work PC is pretty beefy, but this would still be cool.

Yeah, I gotta admit, it's a pretty good gig around here. Our guys who ordered all this stuff basically just went through the back of the last Maximum PC magazine and said "yes please".

No, I don't play games for a living...well war games maybe...

I am a DoD contractor and a network engineer. Without getting into juicy details, my job involves writing programs in LabView and being the graphical environment that it is we use 30" monitors to make it easier to lay everything out which requires a healthy video card to drive it.

When I'm not doing that I'm testing programs and running several VM's locally on my machine as part of the development process - so it needs a healthy dose of horsepower to do all that as well...

And we're all pretty technically inclined and we know what we need for processing power, etc... so we get to build our own workstations..

Who picked that case name and number pleas 🙂
Any self respecting serious business orders Dell workstation or HP. Storm trooper cases and beige walls very unexpected.

weird I didn't know companies let their employees build their own computers.

The case isn't much my style (white and red, bleh) but it looks good for the functional aspects.
