I love this truck.

2004 F150 Supercab, 4.6l V8, 97774 miles

Engine idles and runs perfectly, truck drives smooth as glass on the freeway. It came with a bed toolbox, the owners manual, and even an extra wiring harness for the trailer connector.

I will not disclose any information past the offered price: $9300. I got financed through my bank, Wells Fargo.

I think this is a great time to buy a used truck if you need one. Like that other thread with the RAM, they can be had for dirt cheap.

my brother bought a used Ford and is supar happy with his too. I drove it for a while, and was more impressed than I thought I was going to be.

Is the rear tire missing the Mag?

Actually, the salesman parked it like that, this pic was taken at the dealership. The rear tire is the spare, I do have the other factory wheel, I just need to get a new tire on it and put it on. It's a full-sized spare, the tire it matches the other 3, and it has lots of tread left.

I think you may wind up wishing you had found one with the 5.4. The 4.6 is adequate but often will feel strained with the weight of the truck, especially with the A/C on and a full load of people or cargo.

Great trucks. My brother has an '08 with the 5.4 and its very nice. My step dad just got a 2011 earlier this year with the new 5.0 and absolutely loves it. He let me drive it and wow it's so damn smooth. Feels big compared to my car, but they sure are making them very nice inside compared to his old 97.

I may have to get one of the newer ones after I graduate...if I need to haul stuff.

not really. my friends f150 has the 4.6 and we have towed a 24' trailer with many different vehicles on it. the heaviest was probably a packard clipper, and most recently a chevy trailblazer. pulled the trailblazer back from wickenberg, which isnt all flat road. it did well, and had the AC blasting the whole time. good thing about the 4.6 is the engine bay is made big enough for the larger engine, so theres plenty of room to tuck the supercharger in there if you wanted to upgrade.

You bought it from a dealership and they didn't even put a new tire on it for you? Man, I'd go through that thing and make sure it doesn't need brakes or any other major services. Seems like they didn't do anything to it except maybe clean it up some.

i made the stealership put new tires, recharge the ac and do the brakes before i bought it. i weaseled a front end alignment as well, since it was pulling to the right when i test drove it. funny part was that there were severely worn parts in the front end, they had to replace a lot of bushings to get it to go straight. win for me. and the second week i had the truck, the AC compressor started making a sound, so they had to replace that as well. 4 months down the road the rear end seized up and they had to replace it as well, so i had new brakes, new rear end, ac system and most of the front end redone on a 5 yr old, 84k mile work truck. sweet.

My dad just worked on a 3v 5.4 that has a known problem with leaky injectors. Customer brought it in seized up, it flooded and hydro locked the cylinder and bent the rod when he tried to start it.

Fast forward a week after repairs, customer brings it back in for a check engine light. Catalyst efficiency error due to all the fuel it was dumping before hand.

The brakes work great, fluid looks good, and it tracks straight as an arrow. I put 2 or 3 miles on it while test driving it, and then drove it home 70mph with no issues.

Eddie Yaklin in Kingsville is where it was serviced, according to Carfax. I wonder if they'd be able to give me the records, or if my current dealership could get them for me.

5.4 has the same gas mileage with 70 more horsepower, I would have saved a bit more went with that. Good looking truck though.

my pops had an expedition that did that... didn't kill the motor, but ate up the cats. I brought in to be serviced... took them almost 3 wks to fix it

the 5.4 isn't that special.... wouldn't be a deal breaker for me

you want a motor, get the 5.7 toyota or the new ecoboost that ford offers.
