Sup guys ;p I don't mean to be a bragger but this just has me SO excited.. it's almost like I just met the girl of my dreams but in a little less pathetic kind of way lol

So.. after 4 years of having my old PC.. and after 8 months of drooling over the idea of buying a major upgrade. I finally did it. Well I did it 6 weeks ago, after 2 weeks of doing hardcore research to find the best parts that would fit together to create a new monster, I finally ordered and 6 weeks later, thanks to backorder parts, my order arrived.

Here's a picture of my new baby

The only thing I didn't spend big bucks on is my video card because I just might go crazy later this year and buy a G70 or a R520. But I'll probably wait a bit longer because spending 1000$ on a video card is just too nuts for me right now.

Here's some more pics of my new rig

The Canon sd300 is most amazing too btw. It takes 2.3 pictures per second. It can take a picture in 1.5 seconds from the time you power it on! It's very small and has a huge screen for it's size. I'm extremely happy with it. It also takes amazing video at 30fps.

I shot a video of 12 simultaneous porn videos playing on my dual monitor setup but alas it's 45mb so I won't post it or it'll eat up my month's allowed bandwith in a matter of minutes.

Oh btw.. I just tried DOOM 3.. with eax 4.0 and the lights off.. and OOOOOOH MYYY GOOD I almost shat myself. I had NO idea the graphics would look this hawt!!! And damn.. I think I strained my back from all the spasms from jumping out of my seat in the first level ;p

oh and obviously I plan to overclock this sucker to make it run as fast as it can handle.. and I got all the cooling and quality parts in preparation for this. But first I need to learn about overclocking ;p If you happen to know some groovy sites that have good insights and tutorials. Links would be most appreciated

well.. that's it for my useless post ;p

/brag off

Yeah, I'm looking at an SD200. Interesting that you considered a new camera part of a PC purchase...

Well, I'll be updating this December. Hope your new rig serves you well.

Learn about overclocking? Screw that, just start changing stuff in the BIOS until your computer is fast as sheeeet.

Thats how everyone does it.

hehe... i figure hell if I'm spending this much.. might as well go all out. And I didn't own any digital camera before this and I LOVE this new camera... It's truly amazing.. I love being able to take a ton of pictures back to back and the image quality is just fantastic.

As for the price. I paid about 3500$.. that's canadian dollars... so I'd say about 2800-3000 US. For everything up there minus the CRT and the pioneer and 120gb HD which I already had.

If you took those pics with your SD300 you either
1) Suck at taking pictures
2) Have a broken camera

and yea... I'm not very good with colors.. I would of liked to mix it up a little color-wise. But at least the aerogate (the big round LCD) can change colors to red, purple or blue.

Also my wiring is a disaster in there... It all works great now but it's really bad.. no sleeving at all.. and I'm scared to even think about fixing it up nice.. I'd have to pay an expert for that... it's just that bad with all the front panels and gazilions wires that came with them.

It's probably number one though it looks very dark so it's likely he used a VERY VERY high ISO setting.

yea.. my ISO setting is at 400 atm.. I was taking pictures outdoors near a swimming pool and I found the pictures looked good at that setting. A high ISO is meant for faster pictures right? I forgot to change it back.

I also downsampled the pictures bigtime.. they went from being 1.3mb in size to being about 200k each. I definetely lost a lot of quality in doing that.

And no that's a floppy drive at the very bottom.

Higher ISO is used for darker situations... It means the shutter speed can be faster...

Not sure what the settings can go to on an SD300, but ISO 400 isnt all that high...

The brighter the pic, the lower the ISO you want to use to reduce noise. The amt of noise in that picture is disturbing, was it pitch black in the room?

Why 3 HDs and 2 DVD burners??? And why does the fanbus/LCD use 2 drive bays?
