i got that mobo with a 3200 and sofar its working fine good overclocking features too only thing is that i think you need to update bios cuz its sayen my CPU temp is 110 C and since i can still see it i dont believe it and the dual channel mem wont work w/o an bios update either

I wouldnt get the giga-byte board, if heard their nforce 3 boards have some memory issues.
I'd get the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum if i were you, it seems to be the fastest in most benchmarks, plus its got a nice feature set.

I would opt for the Winchester core! Better overclocker and runs cooler. Only 25$ more too. I have the ASUS A8V Deluxe. Its very stable, but not the best overclocker. Everything else you have is top notch, but your GFX card will bottleneck your system if you like high res and eye candy. Need a "next gen" card if you want higher resolution(1280x1024 or higher), all the eye candy + playable frame rates! (6800gt or U or the ATI x800pro or XT)

I dont think i would really need a 6800gt yet, i was considering it but my radeon 9800pro does the job just fine. HL2 i can run on high, doom3 i can run on ultra, WoW on high. When pci-e gets a bit cheaper then i think i will swap the 9800pro for a geforce 6800gt pci e.

NF3 isn't that new, most are pretty worked out in terms of bugs, but NF3 and K8T800s are very close. Your pick.

I would choose either the Asus A8V Deluxe or the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum.

Should i even get nforce3 now? I was thinking SOLTEK SL-K8TPro-939 would be better

I don't see any reason not to get an nforce3 now. As Mrvile said, they have most of their bugs worked out. I personally would go with the MSI, because its got an nforce 3 chipset, which has more features and i think is just nicer thant the via chipset teh SOLTEK board has. If you are going to overclock, get the MSI, otherwise its really up to which one you think would suit you better.

Nope :) Most common is 2 sticks of 512 in slots 1 and 3 depending on the mobo

Your timings can be set at their SPD rating when using 2 sticks vs 4 sticks and raising your cas, tras etc..
