Personally, I would opt for a slightly larger case and a PS with a little more beef.

Well I?m sending this message on my new system now. The specs have changed because I had two bad motherboards and a change in PSU. My first Asus P5B-E worked for about 7 hours and died. I RMA?d with newegg and got a new one. The second board lasted about 2 hours and died. I sent the second one back to newegg for refund. After spending $20 on shipping two motherboards back, Newegg charged me a $24 restocking fee. I bought a Gigabyte GA-965p-s3 locally and that solved all my problems. After the first motherboard died I decided to change PSU?s and went to a Enermax Liberty 500W.
My system is now running at 3000 MHz at 52 degrees celcius (tat) with orthos at full load for 18 hours. I?m really happy to say I have a lot of headroom to overclock more if I need to. Right now all my voltages are stock!
