Well I finally got around to taking some pictures of my Opty rig. So here ya go:

Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe
2GB OCZ Platinum EB DDR500 3-3-2-8 RAM
2x7800GT's in SLI <-w00t
Seasonic S12-600W PSU
X-fi sound card squeezed inbetween the 2 7800GT's as it was the last remaining PCI slot (other one a TV tuner)
and a lot of other fast sh!t.

And oh yea, a really bad cable job (but don't worry, I'll fix it).

Also I'll post some more pictures in a sec with the mobo out of my coputer, and pics of before I got my new case fans (and a better wiring job, after I got my new case fans the wiring job went to hell).
 
What if we bought Fx60 maybe one of the wworst decison evar! but I didn't...I am even trying to wait off the 939 socket, even though i'm tsill stuck on 2400XP!

I clicked on the images.... I think I saw a cold solder joint 23 pins down one the right near one of the DIMM slots. 😉


BTW, what camera did you use?

The camera is a Sony Cyper-Shot DSC-W1.
It's not the really thin one. I just like a bit of traditional camera in my camera.

And your implying that its a good camera, right? 😛

Kind of like this one only I think mine is the older model. (W1 opposed to W5)
 
NICE! I'd like to see:

1. Those GTs overclocked given the ramsinks, VFs and side fan...485/1200 perhaps?
2. 3Dmark03 or 05 scores.
3. Opty pushed to 2.8ghz?

Hehehe..your system will probably score as much in 3dmark05 as mine in 01 :shocked: Good call on Zalman units since you can reuse them on later videocards unlike NV silencers.

that HSF is HUUUUGGEEE.
nice ram, i have ocz platinum ddr400 so they look identical. is 2 7800gt's in sli faster than a evga 7800gtx ko? by how much.
also, i have the func pad and mx300 mouse. i was thinking of getting the g5 mouse, can u physically tell a big difference between the two?

2 7800GT's in SLI is faster than a 7800GTX.
To put it in perspective, a OC'ed 7800GT will equal the performance of a stock 7800GTX. So naturally 2 GT's in SLI is a lot faster than a 7800GTX.

About the mouse thing, I don't have a MX300 mouse, my mouse before the G5 was a MX510 and comparing that one to the G5, I think I like the feel of the G5 better (better grip i guess). The only thing the G5 is lacking is another button on the side (forward button, it has the back one, but missing the forward one).


Now, people wanted it so 3dmark05 at STOCK on video cards (2500mhz CPU) is 12,600 3dmarks. I'll do a picture later, but for now you'll just have to take my word for it.
 
Fix that wiring! Other than that great build although nothing justifies SLI and I think the many beachmarks and reviews on this hear site back me up.
