Question My new mostly MSI build (with all-pink fans) - how is it?

I just built my new system for 2024. Here are the specs:

Motherboard - MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk
CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
GPU - MSI Ventus Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 12GB GDDR6
RAM - 32GB (2x 16GB) Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB DDR4
SSD - 2TB SK Hynix P41 Platinum Gen4 NVMe
Case - MSI MPG GUNGNIR 110R
CPU Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition CPU Cooling Fan
Additional Exhaust Fans - Cooler Master MasterFan MF120 Halo Fan ARGB

Fan LEDs were made pink using MSI Mystic Light RGB software (they look purple in the photos but are actually pink). RAM was made pink using SignalRGB. Pink is my favorite color. I considered a pink case from Lian Li but thought it would look out of place.

I didn't get the latest and greatest because my budget was limited. I plan to do some light to moderate gaming and streaming. I enabled XMP on my system.

I upgraded from a Gigabyte Ultra Durable Z370 HD3P with Intel Core i5-8600K processor, MSI AMD Radeon RX 590 OC Armor GPU, 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM, and two 1TB SDDs (an SK Hynix Gold P31 Gen3 NVMe and an SK Hynix Gold S31 SATA).

So, any comments on my build?

And yes, I admit my cable management at the front of case can be better.
That's what the back of the case is for. Your cables should be routed to the back of the case and only pop out right where the connection to the motherboard is. Some of your cables look awfully close to the CPU fan. If you need some help with that check out a PC build video from some of the tech YouTubers like TechSource, Paul's Hardware, JayzTwoCents or others.

I didn't see any other way to route my cables in my case (MSI MPG GUNGNIR 110R), unless there was something I missed. This case had three holes to route cables in the front.

Okay, I was able to clean it up slightly, but not perfectly. I moved the fan wires further away from the CPU cooler and stuck the extra GPU connector behind the motherboard.

See here, around 16:55 is the part about cable management. You will see that all of the cables are routed behind the motherboard tray.

Another build here in this case, just the white version. Notice around the 7:30 mark how none of the wires are visible in the front.

I think what may have exacerbated the cable management issues are my splitter cables for the two top fans and ARGB. I read it was recommended to add two top fans to this case for better airflow, so I went with the recommendation.

Aside from the cable management stuff, it's a good mix of parts and a fun color.

I will say that on my phone at least, the pictures look a lot more purple than they do pink, but it could just be color calibration on my end.

I just added two zip ties to tidy it up a bit, although it isn't perfect. I don't want to start from scratch, so I think that will do. In the future if I do any maintenance, I might reroute the CPU cable to the back. I recycled the PSU from a previous build and it was a tight fit; I had to remove the HDD caddy from this case. PSU is an eVGA Supernova 850W 80+ Platinum.

RGB and extra fans certainly add to the wiring complexity, but it also can make it easier to hide the cables because the splitters make the cables longer so they reach the back better. You just have to get the cables to the back in the most direct route you can and use the grommets in the case. My build has 9 fans, plus RGB, an AIO, 3 GPU power cables, but virtually no visible cables. They are all tucked away with the PSU.
